This Privacy Policy explains what information HyMulti ("we", "our", or "the Service") collects when you visit the www.hymulti.org website or connect to the HyMulti Hytale server, how that information is used, with whom it is shared, and the choices you have. We try to keep it short, plain, and honest.

When you register an account on the website (when account features are active), we collect:

  • Username — the in-game name you wish to use.
  • Email address — used for account verification, password resets, and important account notifications.
  • Password — stored in hashed form. We never see or store your password in plain text.

If you contact us through email or Discord, we receive whatever information you choose to send.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, our hosting provider and Cloudflare automatically receive standard technical information:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited, referring URL, and time of visit
  • Approximate location derived from IP (country/region)

When you connect to the Hytale game server, your Hytale account identifier and the IP address from which you connect are visible to the server.

1.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar storage mechanisms:

  • Essential / functional cookies and local storage — used to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and operate features such as the password reset flow.
  • Cloudflare security cookies — set by Cloudflare to protect the site against bots and abuse.
  • Google AdSense cookies — Google and its partners use cookies to serve advertising on the site, including, where applicable, personalised ads based on your previous browsing. See the "Advertising" section below for details and how to opt out.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

The website contains links to third-party services such as Discord, vote listing sites, and Hytale's official pages. These third parties have their own privacy policies, which apply when you click through. We are not responsible for their practices and recommend reviewing their policies before providing any information.

6. Data Retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymise your account information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or technical reasons. Server logs are typically retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including hashed password storage, HTTPS encryption for all website traffic, and Cloudflare protection in front of our infrastructure. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against all forms of compromise.

8. Children's Privacy

HyMulti is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such users. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
